Pine Attic Retreat

Introducing the Attic Retreat by 2atara Design + Construction: A Showcase of Creative Transformation. This innovative project reimagines a century-old home’s attic into a luxurious primary bedroom sanctuary, highlighting our commitment to exceptional design and collaboration.

Navigating the challenges of the central staircase, our team crafted a layout that maximizes space while preserving the attic’s charm. A nearly invisible glass wall enhances visual flow and acoustic comfort. As you ascend the stairs, you follow a custom inset, tight-loop runner that leads to a unique focal point—a soaking tub with a view, nestled within a light-filled space adorned with beautiful wallpaper.

Emphasizing sustainability, 2atara employs green building practices through material repurposing and the use of “no VOC” paints. In this retreat, we reused wood from the demolition as structural bracing and engaged a faux painter to enhance the original flooring, avoiding replacement. A mini-split system ensures year-round comfort.

The Attic Retreat exemplifies our collaborative spirit, incorporating thoughtful mirror placements and curated lighting solutions by our fantastic client, resulting in a truly exceptional living space.
