Bick Tiny House

2atara recently transformed an existing music studio into a versatile tiny house haven. The remodel introduced a kitchenette, a compact bedroom, loft space, and a flexible artist workspace, optimizing the small layout with clever storage solutions throughout. Embracing a Scandinavian modern aesthetic, we utilized clear maple for counters, cabinets, and floors, creating a seamless and visually appealing space.

A custom-designed maple bed intentionally integrates with the studio’s architecture, creating open space to allow for a direct view out the window, offering an intriguing spatial element. Quality floor-to-ceiling windows, along with strategically placed cube windows, manipulate scale to enhance the sense of space. The bathroom features a unique bamboo cabinet detail within a large mirror also cleverly augmenting the perception of space. The kitchenette employed an undercounter cabinet face fridge and full-height cabinets made of pre-finished maple plywood, saving costs and seamlessly integrating it into the studio’s design.

With sustainability in mind, we incorporated a mini-split heat pump for energy efficiency. This remodel stands as a testament to thoughtful design choices, transforming a compact, underutilized space into a resourceful space.
